Who we work for

Working with Environmental Consultants

We understand that when you specify a contractor, your professional reputation is on the line. We make that easy.

What consultants get when working with Cambium:

  • Framework alignment - all restoration work references SEQ Ecological Restoration Framework principles including threat abatement sequencing, appropriate regional ecosystem targets, and staged intervention approaches

  • Clear communication - we flag unexpected site conditions, species detections, and program deviations promptly so you can advise your client

  • Documentation you can use - photo-point records, species lists, treatment logs, and progress notes formatted for inclusion in your reports

  • Herbicide compliance - all chemical application conducted by licensed operators under current APVMA registrations with full application records

  • No surprises - we don't deviate from agreed scope without consultant sign-off

We are comfortable operating under the direction of a supervising ecologist and following site-specific management prescriptions. Our role is on-ground implementation - we're not here to second-guess your ecological advice.

Working with Developers & Project Managers

For developers and project managers, vegetation compliance is a risk management issue. Delays, non-compliance notices, and inadequate documentation create program risk and cost.

What developers get when working with Cambium:

  • Compliance-focused delivery - we understand your approval conditions and work to satisfy them, not just complete tasks

  • Program flexibility - we schedule around your construction program and can mobilise quickly when site access becomes available

  • Single contractor efficiency - weed control, revegetation, slashing, and ongoing maintenance under one contract

  • Reporting ready for council - documentation formatted for submission to local government and state agencies

  • Insurance and compliance - public liability insurance, WorkCover, licensed herbicide operators, and site safety documentation available on request

  • Long-term partnership - we can carry a project from pre-construction weed control through to final vegetation establishment sign-off

Working with Civil Contractors

You're good at building things. Vegetation establishment and long-term maintenance programs are a distraction from that.

When your contract includes revegetation, weed management, or RMP obligations, subcontracting that work to a specialist makes commercial sense. You stay focused on civil works, your program stays on schedule, and the vegetation component gets delivered by us.

How it works in practice:

You bring us on as your vegetation subcontractor. We scope the work from your contract documents or the project RMP, price it, and deliver it under your program.

You maintain the client relationship and overall contract. We handle everything on the ground - species sourcing, installation, establishment maintenance, treatment records, and progress reporting.

If your client or their consultant needs documentation, we produce it. If there's a supervising ecologist on the project, we deal with them directly so it doesn't land back on your desk.

What we take off your plate:

  • Sourcing locally-provenant tubestock and managing nursery supply

  • Scheduling and executing planting programs around your civil works

  • Multi-year establishment maintenance after your crews have moved on

  • Weed control programs on active and post-construction sites

  • Photo-point monitoring and treatment records

  • Progress reports for consultant or approval authority submission

  • Adaptive management when site conditions change

The practical reality:

Most civil contractors don't want to be managing a revegetation program two years after practical completion. With us as your subcontractor, your vegetation obligations are met, documented, and handed off. You're not fielding calls about plant survival rates when you're three projects down the road.

We're familiar with construction site environments, SWMS requirements, and working around active programs. We don't need hand-holding on site and we won't create problems for your site supervisor.
