Management Grant Writing

Funding is available for land management and ecological restoration projects across SEQ. Most landowners don't access it because navigating grant criteria is time-consuming and complicated. We do that work for you.

End-to-end support available

Land management, weed control, revegetation, riparian restoration, koala habitat planting, biosecurity fencing. These are the types of projects that funding bodies across SEQ want to support, and they have programs specifically designed for private landowners to access.

The challenge is that grant programs open and close, eligibility criteria vary considerably, and writing a competitive application requires understanding what the funder is actually looking for. Cambium navigates that for you, from identifying what you're eligible for through to writing the application and managing the program reporting.

How We Help

Grant support from eligibility to acquittal

Eligibility Check and Opportunity Scan

We assess your property, your project goals and your ownership structure against current available grants to identify the programs most likely to succeed. No point spending time on an application if you don't qualify or if better options exist.

Application Writing

A well-written grant application tells a compelling story and addresses the funder's criteria directly. We understand what Scenic Rim Regional Council, Logan City Council, Healthy Land and Water and other bodies are looking for, and we write applications that speak to those priorities.

Budget and Project Planning

Grant applications require a clear, credible project plan and budget. We develop these from our field experience so the numbers and timelines actually reflect what the work involves, which makes for stronger applications and smoother project delivery.

Post-Grant Reporting and Acquittal

Securing a grant is the start of the administrative obligation, not the end. We support reporting requirements, milestone documentation and grant acquittal so you stay in good standing with the funding body and eligible for future programs.

How It Works

From initial scan to funded project

Property and project assessment

We get to know your land, your goals and your ownership structure. Are you looking to restore a riparian corridor, control a lantana infestation, plant koala habitat or build a farm business resilience plan? The project type shapes which programs are relevant.

Eligibility scan and opportunity identification

We scan the current grant landscape and assess your eligibility against the most promising programs. We present a clear set of recommendations so you can focus on the applications most likely to succeed.

Application writing and review

We write the application, working with you to gather supporting information, develop a credible project plan and budget, and present the project in a way that speaks to the funder's priorities. Multiple review rounds included.

Post-grant project support

Once funded, we support the project delivery (often as your on-ground contractor), manage milestone reporting and handle grant acquittal requirements to keep you in good standing with the funding body.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my property is eligible for land management grants?

Eligibility varies significantly between programs. Key factors include your property's location within the relevant local government area, the nature of your proposed project, your land tenure and whether your project aligns with the funder's current priority outcomes. Our eligibility check service assesses all of these factors against current available programs and gives you a clear picture of your options before you invest time in an application.

What types of projects do land management grants typically fund?

Most programs in SEQ prioritise invasive weed control, native revegetation, riparian corridor restoration, koala habitat planting, biosecurity fencing on properties with significant ecological values, and farm resilience projects. The specific priorities vary by program and by funding round. We know which programs are most active and what they're looking for at any given time.

Do you also do the on-ground work once the grant is secured?

Yes, and this is where having a single contractor for both the grant writing and the on-ground delivery is a real advantage. We understand the project scope and the grant conditions, so the work is delivered in a way that meets the reporting requirements. There's no translation gap between what was written in the application and what gets done in the field.

What areas do you cover for grant writing services?

We provide grant writing services for landowners across SEQ, with particular experience in the Scenic Rim Regional Council, Logan City Council and Lockyer Valley Regional Council areas. We have working familiarity with the programs offered by these councils and by Healthy Land and Water, SEQ Catchments and relevant Commonwealth and state government programs.
